80gb I Pod Classic By Joshua White on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

After owning a second generation iPod for years, I was beginning to wonder when Apple would loose a new iPod that would make me want to upgrade.

The iPod Classic, while not over-the-top with changes like the iPod Touch or Nano, represented to me a clean evolution in the iPod line. Slick brushed aluminum cover, new cover flow menu system, large amount of storage, and that ridiculously long battery life. My only complaint about the design is that Apple still insists on using that polished chrome backing, which is just begging to be scratched.

Overall, I'd say I am very pleased with the new iPod Classic. It has enough storage for me to keep all of my iTunes synced (a far cry from my previous 15gb model), it's thin and easy to hold, and it's a joy to actually use. The menu system is really where the iPod shines.
