9 - Damien Rice

I'm in love. For the first time ever, I was completely hooked on Damien Rice the first time I heard this album. Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful. I don't think I took the CD out of my car CD player for 2 weeks after I got it. After having listened to this album at least 100 times since I got it, I still love it. Two years later, I can still put it on and feel the same way I did the first time I heard it. Damien Rice has a spectacular voice, but I suspect what keeps me coming back is actually his songbird, Lisa Hannigan. They both have those ethereal voices that together give you goosebumps when you hear it. I cannot praise this album enough, really. My favorite song is "Coconut Skins," and also try "Grey Room," and "9 Crimes."
