A Birthday Card for Dad

I don't buy Hallmark cards very often, as I find them a bit pricey, but when you find the perfect card that says just the right thing, you just have to get it.

Both my father and my husband's father have birthdays this month.I find it really hard to find a good card for a dad! Many are far too sentimental.(Neither of our dads are the sentimental type)And the funny cards are either too silly or just dumb. However, I was lucky this time to find a couple cards that said it all without being "mushy".

This is the card I got for my father-in-law.The front has a piece of notebook paper attatched to it with a paper clip.Scrawled across the paper is this to-do list:

Things to tell my dad--

--He was right.(About pretty much everything.)

--Money really doesn't grow on trees.

--I was too listening.

--Kids don't forget the good stuff.

--Thanks for the lectures... And the love.

The inside of the card reads: Have a happy birthday, Dad.(Because I said so, that's why!)

My husband really liked this card when I showed it to him.It tells his dad that he is appreciated, and it brings a smile.A perfect card, in my opinion.

If you're like me and have trouble finding dad cards, this might be the one for you.
