A Book About Good And Evil By angelwings24 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The fight between good and evil has always been the subject of many novels but in this novel by Coelho, he made a basic concept more complex yet it still lacks the excitement that I was looking for. He may have given the fight between good and evil a different twist but still I got bored reading the novel. The ending was also predictable.

I should say though that Paolo Coelho is consistent with his writing style. Despite the fact that the plot wasn't as good as I expected it to be, his superb writing and narrative style enabled me to finish the book from cover to cover. The interesting way he presented the characters and events made up for the plot's lack of excitement. The way he develop his characters and see till the end what will happen to them might be the only reason why I was able to finish reading the book.

If you are the philosophical type then you might enjoy this book because of the many issues raised regarding good and evil. But if you are looking for more action and excitement then I suggest you read a different novel.

Hmmm. Sounds like I'll skip this one. I like adventure and mystery in my novels:0)
