A CAMPING WE WILL GO!!!!
By Geralyn Hydock onGrowing up, I was very active in scouting and attended summer camp two summers in a row. I also camped out at this site with our troop a few times. The Girl Scocut camp is located in Highland Mills, New York. The camp itself is in the woods of Bear Mountain and there is a gorgeous lake where one can swim in. I remember having the time of my life at camp. It was such great fun!
Girl Scout Camp provides a great way to build new skills, get a sense of community, make new friends, and develop a deep appreciation for nature. It gives each scout the opportunity to grow, explore, and have fun always under the guidance of caring, trained adults. While at camp one can participate in many activities which include: canoeing, hiking, boating, swimming, outdoor cooking, crafts, archery, and so much more. I remember the all exciting polar bear swims in the wee hours of the morning and how cold that water was. For me, the experience was a great one.
I went to daycamp for girl scouts in VA. It was (for the most part) a great experience. This one sounds wonderful:0)

I went to Girl Scout Camp too. Loved every minute of it:) We learned so many things there. But I loved the nightly campfires and singalongs best. What a great set of memories.
I wish all girls could enjoy a girl scout style camp! I was never lucky enough to be a girl scout, but I was a camp fire girl and got to go to their camp. I think it is a great experience to have had growing up!
This sounds like a great camp. I wish I had my kids join a camp when they were younger. I remember a friend of mine used to go away to camp every summer. She used to come back with the best stories.
That really sounds like a ton of fun. I should have been in the girl scouts as a kid lol. I hope my daughter is interested in it someday. These camps would be so exciting.
Our oldest girl went to a lot og Girl Scout Camps and LOVED them all!
I had a great time at Girl Scout Camp as a kid. I think many children would benefit from getting back to basics and leaving some of the technology behind.
Ahhh... Summer camp. I loved Girl Scout Camp. And I really hope that it's something my daughter wants to do when she gets older, I would love for her to have the experience.
My mother was a Girl Scout leader for years. I have "Girl Scout camped" many times. Even after I was grown up my mom drug me along as her "helper" Thanks for the memories.
