A Candelabra For Anytime Of Year By Sparkle333 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Here's a new idea for holiday candelabras. I like to paint them pink, and put beautiful rose decals on them, and then put the pink country-look candle flame lights in them. They take on a very Victorian or shabby-chic look that is perfect year round. I mentioned in another review that I often do this with single electric candle lamps as well. Sometimes on Ebay, you can purchase them with hand painted roses or other designs.
It's a neat way to change something that is a Christmas decoration, into something that you can use any season. You can also paint them other colors to suit your interior colors. I purchased a teal one on Ebay, and got teal country flame bulbs to go in it.
They use 7 Watt max candelabra based bulbs. Never leave this type of lamp unattended, as it could overheat, when not properly supervised. The soft pink candle flame bulbs can be purchased at A. C. Moore and other craft shops, as well as lighting shops online. You will be amazed at how much charm these candelabras can add to a bedroom, or family room. They are very warm and inviting, and provide a soft, gentle glow as an accent light.
