I decided it was about time to get certified so I could have something to back up the fact that I really do know something about computers. This is one of two books that I purchased in anticipation of the A+ Certification Exam.

The book comes with a CD-ROM that contains study materials as well as randomly generated sample tests. This software was very helpful, as it really helped me to identify which areas of the test to focus on studying for.

Additionally, there are study questions and study guides on each section throughout the book. If you already know what you are doing but need to brush up on technical details before hitting the exam, this is definately the way to go. I suppose that a newbie can get the right stuff from this book, but I would always recommend hands-on application as well. Overall this is a winner, and there's no dummy here!
