A Charlie Brown Christmas DVD

I really just love this movie. I have watched "A Charlie Brown Christmas" since I was a little girl. It was a tradition every year to watch this movie around the holiday season.When I had my own children, I immediately wanted to continue this tradition, so I purchased the DVD.

This movie truly is a classic holiday film.Charlie Brown is completely depressed and trying to find the true meaning of the holiday season, so Lucy nominates him to direct the school play.It is clear from the beginning that the children in the play do not take Charlie Brown's directions seriously.He and Linus finally take some time to go pick out a Christmas tree.Of course, being Charlie Brown, he picks a very limp, bare, pathetic tree.

Upon presenting the tree to his friends, they begin to laugh at him.Charlie Brown leaves, and takes his pathetic tree with him.He attempts to decorate the poor little tree, but overcome with frustration, Charlie Brown just walks away from the tree.

Linus then steps in and wraps his blankie around the tree and all of a sudden, the tree takes on a more healthy look.The whole Peanuts gang begins to decorate the little tree. They surround the tree and then start humming a holiday tune.Charlie Brown comes back to find the tree just beaming and his friends surrounding it and singing.It is in that moment that he learns what the holiday season is all about.

This movie never fails to touch my heart.It has become a favorite in our household and we are not opposed to putting this movie in anytime of year.
