A Classic Revisited

I have always been an avid reader, and one who loves great literature.I had read Maia by Richard Adams in college and had grown to love the book.A few years back I decided to look for the book and found a used copy at a rock bottom price.I just couldn't resist.
It was used, but it was in great shape.It is a book which I read over and over again.It always manages to captivate me every time I read it.
It is a quite unusual book with material many may find odd or strange.Though the story may appear strange, there are many things within this book which can be related to our own lives.I find the book to be one which tells the story, through Maia's trials, of just how our lives can take very strange and tragic paths.It is one which shows that, many times, our circumstances will lead us to do things we would never imagine doing.There are strange events which occur that we do not have control over, but we have to find a way to make the best of them.Dealing with life, sometimes requires a person to accept their circumstances until they can find a solution or way out of their current difficulties.
It is a book that shows the strength and courage which a person can find when one needs it.Strength and courage are within us all, but it takes a crisis for us to realize these attributes are there.
This book may not have gained the acclaim of many classics, but it certainly shows the talents of the writer as an author of great literature.
This book is one of my favorite books.It is a bit long, but it keeps you reading.You just can't wait to see what Maia will be doing or what problems she will face next.
If you love great literature, I recommend you read this book.It is one of the best I have ever read.
