A Cleansing Oil That Really Removes Makeup By peatfire on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I was skeptical about how well I would like a cleansing oil, as I have combination skin that's prone to breakouts. Origins products have been hit or miss for me, but Clean Energy is a winner.

I wear a physical sunscreen every day, and most products don't remove it without a lot of effort. With Clean Energy, I use a few drops on my dry skin, massage it in, add water and rinse it off. I usually use fragrance free products but this one doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. It smells like citrus but the smell doesn't linger. My skin is left soft but not greasy, as it rinses cleanly.

I paid $17.50 for 6.7 ounces, but I expect it to last a very long time as it doesn't take much. My only criticism is that it should come with a pump, as pouring it into your hands is messy and wasteful. Origins sells a pump separately for about $1.50, but they don't seem to make a point of telling customers that.
