A Clockwork Orange By Shawn By Shawn on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Stanley's Kubrick's classic film adaptation of A Clockwork Orange is a film that is quite simply timeless. Eerie enough to disturb you as a modern film would and quirky enough to retain originality that is matched has been matched or surpassed by very few films since. The DVD is a part of the Stanley Kubrick collection and while the film's quality is up to par with DVD quality, the overall package is going to leave DVD fans in general with a bad taste in their mouth.

The disturbing and adult qualities aren't dulled or touched up for the DVD release, but you'll be left wondering why you didn't just rent the film when you start looking around for special features. The DVD doesn't have very much to offer except for the movie, which severely hinders its purchase value.

A Clockwork Orange itself is an amazing film that everyone should see at least once in their lifetime, but on the other hand, if you're looking to bolster your DVD collection than this is definitely one that won't hurt to pass up, unless you're a Kubrick fan.
