Reviewing: Pub:Harper And Row Author:Sue Hubbell

Another true story of city girl goes country. The author, Sue Hubbell, tells the story of her "farm" in the Ozarks. She actually raises honey bees and sells the honey for a living. She tells of her solitary life on the farm with only her two dogs, the resident wildlife and a few friends who visit infrequently. She tells of the local people and thier simple, practical ways and how their opinions and beliefs sometimes clash with her own. She tells about the bees and how they all work together in order to survive. She includes lots of vivid detail on the local fauna and foliage of the Ozarks and paints a very pretty picture of her life with the honey bees. A book with humor, information and inspiration all put together in a pleasing way. A good book to curl up with on a cold winter day. If you like to read about real life and real people and real places and things you will enjoy this book. It may be out of print and a little hard to find so check at your local library first. Otherwise, try all the online standards. Barnes and Noble, Amazon, etc.

I love this book, and another one by her Broadsides from the Other Orders. It's about insects.
