A Dark Book To Relate To By MichelleLeanne on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My copy of this book has been read and loved so much that it is literally falling apart. I especially related to the book during my last years of high school and early years of college. The book is beautifully narrated by the protagonist Astrid from her time as a naive teenager to a jaded adult. The story is captivating. The book is amazing. The portrayal of the relationships through out Astrid's life is strong and brings the story to life. For me, it was the mother-daughter and some of the romantic relationships that were oh to familiar to me then drew me into the storyline time and time again. I definitely recommend this book to any serious reader out there that is prepared for a compelling novel that takes you on an emotional rollercoaster. This is definitely a book that deserves to be read on a quiet day or when you want to escape into fiction for awhile.
