This last summer, I was taking my brother and cousins out Kayaking for their first times. I did some research before hand and looked up a couple places to take them considering safety, and of course entertainment. I ended up finding a place known as "The best kept secret kayak rentals location" in Long Beach, California. It was a breeze getting set up before we were out on the water. Despite getting in the water directly off the beach, the water was calm and it was perfect for the boys. We got to play with jellyfish which was one of the highlights of the trip and then dock at a local Starbucks and Jamba Juice for a quick lunch break. Before leaving, we went through a wilderness refuge and then the sun was on it's way down. I couldn't think of any other perfect way for them to see the goodness of being on the water the way I do. Needless to say we had an amazing time and they've been begging me to take them back ever since.

They have a place like that down here, but last time I did that there were a few too many alligators for my taste. Gotta love florida!
