A Digital Camera Worth The Money. By jrm5035 on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Perhaps my greatest purchase of 2008 was the Cannon Powershot SD1000. This camera is packed with enough features to satisfy the most tech-savvy, while maintaining an extreme ease of use and adjustment to almost every condition. The extensive range of settings, containing everything from night portraits to pets in the snow, ensures a beautiful picture, and at 7.1 megapixels you can be assured of just that.

Most likely its only downfall is that there is no onboard memory, and the only card that came with it is 32 MB, which is practically useless. Even still, this is not a huge issue, as SD cards have come way down in price and buying more expansion room is easily done.

Overall, the camera is a work of art. Anyone considering investing in a decent camera should absolutely buy the Canon Powershot, in any form within the series.
