A Folk Rock Must Have By Munky on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This album must be one of the best, the most original compilation albums I have ever come across. Being an avid lover of folk music I stumbled upon this one day online and although I had not heard of most of the songs or artists, I felt compelled to buy it just for the sake of listening to new music. The 4 Cd collection is broken down into four different decades (60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's). Each cd contains very popular artists such as Bob Dylan or Don McLean and they also contain some artist I have never heard of before such as Steeleye Span or Dave Alvin. All in all each cd has a very unqiue sound to them, but yet the whole collection blends in perfectly with each other. On each cd every song just seems to seemingly flow into the next song with very little effort. The great thing about this set is that it mixed the old and new, the popular and obsure, and everything in between. Overall the 71 songs included in this collection seem to capsulate the genre of folk rock and if anyone is a fan of this genre I recommend buying this collection as soon as possible.
