I bought the Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Learning Home for my son after he enjoyed playing with it at a play date. It was by far one of the best toy purchases I have ever made for him. I got it when he was 9 months old. They first day he played with it for over an hour straight. He especially loved the light switch - it actually works - and loved turning the light on and off.
Other fun features include a mailbox, a window that goes up and down, a radio (that plays cute tunes), a door to crawl through, and many, many more.
My son is now two and he still loves playing with this toy. I'd say it is probably his most used toy. He now loves to point out all the letters and numbers along the top - and of course, still crawl through the door.
Whenever we have other kids over, this is the first toy they go to. It is great because there is stuff to do on both sides of the toy. This enables two kids to play with the toy - and usually without fighting.
Another great feature is that the toy does not drain batteries quickly. We've had this toy for over 1 1/2 years and have never changed the batteries. Pretty amazing for a toy that gets used every day.

I love buying small children this sort of toy. There is so many things for bright eyes and little hands to do. Fisher Price creates extraordinary toys for growing minds.

This is a favorite toy of ours as well, there are so many things to learn from this house! My 2.5 year old loves it!
This does sound like hours of fun for a child.
