For those of you who suffer with heartburn, I feel for you. Recently I went to a doctor about chest pain and I swear my heart was fluttering. Being only 25 I figured it was only stress. This very nice doctor (who I will not see again) wanted to set me up with some very expensive tests to determine if I had a heart murmur he could not hear on his stethoscope. Granted there always is a small chance the doctor could not hear a murmur. But then the doctor thought honestly it was esophageal reflux which can actually spill out causing small spasms. GERD happens to run in my family. I figured before I wasted thousands of dollars I do not have, I would try some over the counter acid reducer. I bought this at Wal-Mart for $2+tax, it comes with 65 tablets. Amazingly if I take one little pill 30 minutes to an hour before I eat, I have no more chest pain. I would recommend this to everyone. It really helped me and is very affordable. The only downside is if you do forget to take it- ouch. Active Ingredients: Ranitidine 150mg

I have not noticed any side effects of this medicine. I have been taking it for approx. a month.
