A Good Plan

Hotlink is a prepaid cellphone service by Maxis Malaysia Berhad. This is my first and primary cellphone service that I've been using for four years now. This is the most reliable service I've ever used. As a heavy mobile internet user, I have to say that the coverage is excellent although once a month the internet messes up probably due to maintainence. The problem is solved once I leave my area and go to another. The billing is accurate too except that Maxis deducts $0.25 (converted from MYR to USD) when internet is connected. This sum is returned when disconnected but if the connection automatically terminates itself, the sum is lost most of the time. The calls are quite cheap- average of $0.19 per minute. But what I like about this service is that if you frequently call a certain state or country, they reduce the call rates of that place. E.g since i call USA very often, the call rates are $0.05. Thats cheaper than calling my next door neighbour! Texts are very cheap too- $0.02 within network, $0.04 to other networks and $0.05 to international numbers. Plus, you get points everytime you recharge your account and even when people call you. These points can be converted into more airtime or into free texts. Very consumer friendly. This is one of the best deals in Malaysia for cellphone services. Great job Maxis. Keep it up.
