Wherever I have a reading chair, I like to have a standing floor lamp. I recently bought a Better Homes and Gardens Swing Arm Floor Lamp from Walmart. The lamp is just beautiful, and looks much more expensive than what I paid for it. It has a rubbed bronze finish, and comes with a stretched fabric shade. It has 3-way lighting, which I love, and so requires the use of a 3-way bulb, for it to work properly.

I love the swing arm feature, because it allows you to position the light just where it's needed, for reading or other close work. It has a very traditional look, and is 59" high. It is such a nice lamp for the value, and looks great with our bedroom furniture. We liked it so much that we bought another one for my writer's study.

The lamp was very easy to assemble. (It only took a few minutes, and it's nice that the shade comes with it, as so many lamps these days require you to buy the shade separately.) This lamp would look great in any room of your house.
