A Great Addition To Any Culinary Library By MichelleLeanne on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I received this cookbook as a gift and was pleased when I did. I am a huge Everyday Italian fan so I was thrilled to have Giada's recipes in hard copy. I have to say that I was disappointed with the cookbook. Most of the recipes are unappealing or required a long list of ingredients and there were not as many pictures as I would have liked. However, the pictures that are there are wonderfully colorful and give a great close up image of the finished product. Truth be told, the recipes included are very fresh however any recipe that calls for a long list of ingredients and a lot of steps is a huge turn off for me. I expected recipes that were similar to what she demonstrates on her show. I have tried the simplier receipes like tortellini soup which would wonderful! It was so good on a winter day. The other recipes like for pasta sauce were more work than it was worth. Oh well. I would take a look at this book before deciding whether or not this is for you. Cookbook preferences is such an individual thing. Good luck!
