A Great Jazz Bass, That Won't Break The Bank! By Tony Neely on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Now that I have used this bass on both the stage and in the studio, I feel that I can tell you with certainty that eventhough it looks like one, it is not a 75 Fender Jazz bass. What it is, however, is a fantastic instrument that will blow 99% of other budget instruments out of the water.

-This bass has a solid ash body with a beautiful maple blocked neck. The finish on the neck was a little thick from the factory, but a few passes of fine grit sand paper took care of that.

-The electronics were surprisingly quiet for a low cost bass, but had a transparent tone comparable to more expensive "name brand" products.

-The finish on this bass is flawless, and the sunburst looks more natural than most Fenders that I have seen. The vintage ashtray covers and thumb rest add to the vintage look of the bass.

This is a fantastic bargain that would please any bass player who is on a tight budget.
