A Great T-Shirt For Guys And Gals
By Sparkle333 onOkay, I confess...sometimes I buy my T-shirts in the men's department. (And ladies, I know I'm not alone.) But whether you're a male or female, this is a great basic tee. It's made by Athletic Works, and comes in a variety of colors. My favorite thing about this T-shirt, is that it is made of a moisture-wicking fabric, that actually keeps you cooler and drier, than those heavy cotton t-shirts. In fact, it is made from 100% Repreve recycled polyester, which is great for all you "green" fans out there, because it is an "eco-friendly" fabric.
It's a nice length, and roomy, without looking slouchy. It is short sleeved, stain resistant, and has a crew neck collar (which I might add, does not have one of those itchy tags.) All information is stamped on the shirt, which adds to its comfort.
It's easy to care for--just machine wash and tumble dry. Or you may hang to dry, if you prefer, because it dries very quickly. And one other bonus-if you're wearing it for physical outside activity, it also has an Ultraviolet Protection Factor of 25, which means it inhibits dangerous UVB and UVA rays. (All of this in a Walmart T-shirt? Pretty good, huh?)
This shirt is a tremendous value for the price, and well worth sneaking into the Men's department to purchase. (If you don't tell, I won't! Shhhhh....) Grin.

It does seem too good just to be for menswear. I would buy a teeshirt with those qualities.
my husband has a few of these tshirts. We both really like them. I like the no tags. I think all clothing should be like that now
This sounds like my kind of tshirt. I actually like men's tees because they have a tendency to be a little thicker than the ladies and last longer.
This sounds like a great shirt. I would buy it for myself.
I have a couple of these t-shirts, I like the length. Can't stand it when a t-shirt looks like I've outgrown it, LOL. :)
I actually went to around 30 Walmart stores near the end of summer in 2008 to get enough (approx. 100) of these shirts to outfit my college Ultimate Frisbee team. We got yellow shirts and green shirts, which can be difficult colors to find, and had them printed. They turned out to be an excellent option. They were $6 per shirt! And they are phenomenal to compete in; sweat evaporates incredibly fast from these things.
I agree with Tron. Also used these primarily for Ultimate Frisbee where you sweat A LOT, especially here in Southern California. I will never go back to using cotton! I got so used to these t-shirts that I started wearing them in place of ordinary cotton t-shirts, even under my dress shirts. You can literally feel a breeze as you start to walk. I tend to sweat a lot and these shirts can take a lot of perspiration and don't show any sweat rings. Like Tron, I had trouble finding these around the time they were phased out. There was a point when they marked the price down from $6 to $3 dollars. I was buying them in bunches and I wish I would have bought more. Wal Mart phased them out and likely struck a deal with Starter in an effort to make more money. I won't buy the Starter jerseys because they are too bold and have their stinking logo on it. The Athletic Works were in simple, solid colors and had no logo...only the small Dri-More reflective sticker on the lower left side. The only drawback to these shirts is that there is in fact a conventional Athletic Works tag on the inside of the Dri-More sticker. Other than that, these shirts are hands-down the best value going. Let the clones buy the Under Armor, Nike, and Adidas shirts at $20-$30 a pop or more...someone (not me) has to pay for their advertising! Memo to Wal-Mart or other retailers: PLEASE SELL THESE SHIRTS!!!
