A Great Yoga Mat! By MichelleLeanne on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

This is my second yoga mat and I like it much better than my first off brand mat. The color is my absolute favorite that I have seen available. Gaiam is a name I see a lot when it comes to yoga or pilates related products so I felt like I was getting at least an adequate product when I was deciding whether or not to make the purchase. The stickiness of my previous mat was an issues I did not want to reoccur with my new mat. My feet tend to slip and not stay put while doing certain poses probably as a result of my feet getting hot during the excercises. This mat is a lot better than my first mat in terms of stickiness however I still slip quite a bit. I am not sure if it is just me but I doubt I am the only one out there that has sweaty feet so I am still on the look out for a better yoga mat. Another characteristic that I liked about this mat is that it is quick this so there was some cushioning for my hands when I rested a good amount of my body weight on them balancing. Again, I am sure that there is something probably better out there that hard core yoga people use but for about $15.00 and me doing yoga on a rare occassion now this mat will suffice.
