A Laser Printer That Won't Break The Bank By peatfire on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My previous laser printer, made by Brother, would dim the lights every time I used it because it drew too much power. The Samsung doesn't do that even though its printing speed is very fast. It is smaller and lighter than the Brother, and its tray only holds 150 sheets of paper. The overall design seems to be rather flimsy and it's quite loud, but I guess at this price point, that's to be expected.

I've never had a problem with it jamming, and print quality is good. There's a toner saver button, which comes in handy when I'm printing out less important papers. Samsung Cartridges are very expensive, so I buy toner on E-Bay and my husband refills it.

If you want something basic and reliable, this printer does the job. I would repurchase if the price was right.
