A fantastic, unique Christmas film!
Our local Hollywood video was going out of business, so they were selling off their entire inventory for dirt cheap. I'd never heard of this movie before. But, for $2? I figured, that's less than a rental, and it sounds cute, I'll give it a shot.
The main character is an elf, who gets frozen in time, so to speak, in the woods. This was ages ago, when magic was commonplace. Many moons later, he is able to break free, and spread Christmas cheer and the magic of the season to the town that has grown around his old home (and particularly to one lonely girl), while still battling the fiends who turned him into a statue so long ago.
I've never seen a Christmas tale quite like this before. It's so magical and fun. I think I may have like it more than the kids!
