Reviewing: Waterpik Cordless Dental Water Jet
Purchased at: Zellers     Price: $38.95 CAD

A high-pressure hydrojet, slow reflexes and an inexperienced user was as effective on the mirror as it was on the gums. This does take time to get used to so it would be wise to use the low-pressure tip initially. The amount of force and positioning of the on/off buttons which are slightly awkward can make for an adventure.Nevertheless, this is an excellent product with pulsating pressure, effectively cleansing the gums reducing the chances of developing gingivitis and removing the bacteria in a superior manner. It is quite compact with an all in one hand held water container attached to the waterpik. The rechargeable feature eliminating the cord is an added bonus. It is well worth the positive outcome you will receive at your next dental visit.

Does the waterpik take the place of flossing? If so, do you find it as or more effective than flossing? I have known people that have used and loved their waterpiks but have never, for some reason, asked this question. Thanks.

My dentist recommends using both the water pik and dental floss. I must admit, I am lazy when it comes to using both. I find the waterpik is more effective than flossing and can take the place of flossing.
