A Paraben Free Cleansing Gel By peatfire on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I really wanted to like this product, as it's paraben free and doesn't contain artifical fragrance. It does do a great job of removing all traces of makeup and sunscreen. I even like the lavender smell, which is quite strong but doesn't linger afterwards. It foams nicely with only one pumpful of gel, and is easy to rinse off.

The problem? This gel is supposedly for sensitive "reactive" skin, but it is far too strong for me to use everyday. It leaves my face red, blotchy, and flaky. Even in the summer, it sends me grabbing for my moisturizer right away to calm my skin back down. My skin is combination, and this is too drying even in the oily areas.

If you like all natural products and have very oily, non-sensitive skin, it's probably worth a try. Otherwise, I would recommend looking for a more gentle product.
