A Perfect Circle Mer De Noms By Derek Dubois on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This CD was one of my first "metal" CDs and I don't regret having bought it. I enjoyed that so many of the tracks felt cohesive. The vocals meld very well with the instrumentalization. I have to say, though, that it gets old after a little bit. It's not generic metal, but it's nothing special either. It's softer than alot of other metal, so be warned before going for it. They have the traditional metal setup of a guitar, a drumset, bass, and another guitar probably. It's quality metal. The actual lyrics don't really matter since you listen to the voice as an instrument and the actual instrumentation is competant if not above that. In general I'd suggest it to anybody just getting into metal. It's good for opening up new horizons, but that's about it.
