Upon buying a PlayStation 3 console, I decided to try out the Metal Gearseries with Metal Gear Solid 4. I had heard greatthhings about the series, so I decided to introduce myself into the classic series through its latest installment.Immediately when I started up the game I was hyped up to play. Graphicswere amazing, the best I've seen in a game yet, other than the Final Fantasy series and maybe Modern Warfare 2. Since I haven'tplayed any of the past games I didn't quite understand what was goingon in some parts of the story. I suggest you play some of the oldergames before you play Metal Gear Solid 4, or you could download the library add on that refers to every name, term, and event in the series. Metal Gear Solid 4 was really agood game and I know I'm going to have a lot of fun playing theprevious installments as well.

If your not into story-driven games then chances are you will not likethe Metal Gear series as there's more than 90 minutes of cut scenes inthis game (don't worry, you can pause them or skip them). Metal Gear Solid 4 is like a interactive movie, howeverthere's a lot of gameplay to enjoy. The stealth system is awesome, butisn't required to play with throughout the entire game. You could shootyour way through the entire game if you'd like, but it's much harder todo and requires more skill. Because of this, it almost seems likethere's no use to use the stealth system in the game. You can customizeyour weapons rather than character which will be available early on inthe game with add ons. Customization is rather weak, but the wide variety ofweapons is great.

I'm not going to ruin the storyline for Metal Gear Solid 4 for you but Iwill say this if you are a fan of RPGs and/or story driven video gamesthen you will most likely without a doubt love Metal Gear Solid 4. Themusic in this game was really awe-inspiring and is even better than someof the staggering music used for RPGs today. Graphics (like I saidearlier) are probably the best for a console yet, especially in highdefinition. This game'sgameplay isn't the best I've seen but it's still very enjoyable and Ihad a lot of fun playing it.

Iabsolutely love this game. I'm very happy that I bought a PlayStation 3and not a Xbox 360. This is, without a doubt, one of the best games ofthe seventh generation of video gaming.

I loved this game... Was amazingly fun to play through once... It has poor replay value though and the multiplayer is weak.
