A Reliable Hotel On The Cape By peatfire on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

There aren't many chain hotels on Cape Cod, and a lot of the family owned hotels haven't been kept up as well as I'd like. I can't see paying hundreds of dollars to stay in a resort or inn when we only need a clean, comfortable place to sleep. The Courtyard Hyannis is a good compromise, and can be reasonably priced by Cape Cod standards, especially if you go in the off season.

The location is central to the mid-Cape. The rooms have been recently renovated and are clean with comfortable beds and even refrigerators. The indoor pool and gym are well kept. The staff is very friendly, and there are plenty of restaurants, and even a mall, close by. (Our favorite for a quick bite is is Cooke's.)

This hotel doesn't have a lot of Cape Cod charm, but at this point, I'll sacrifice charm for reliablity.
