A Sci-fi series on DVD you may have overlooked
By peatfire onI don't have cable, so until recently, I'd never heard of The Dresden files from the Sci-Fi channel. My husband and I are both science fiction fans, but I wasn't sure what to expectfrom a show about a wizard named Harry.Despite being skeptical of the premise, I took a chance and bought it for my husband for Christmas, figuring if it was any good, he might just let me watch it with him.It was a good call.
The series is well acted with Paul Blackstone as Harry, a wizard who helps the police solve crimes with help from his sidekick, Bob.Bob, played by Terrence Mann, was also a sorcerer but is now a ghost who is tied to his scull for eternity because of a crime he committed years ago.Theplots are original and sometimes quite grim, but at the same time, the witty dialogue has a knack for lightening the mood.
My husband and I were both sorry when the last of the 12 episodeswas over, and wish it had lived to see another season. If you like sci-fi or fantasy television, this is a must buy.
