A Trip To The Hocking Hills ... By Chenault on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
Last weekend, my sweetie and I decided to get out of the house, and see what Ohio has to offer. We did a little research and decided on a day trip to the Hocking Hills, in Logan Ohio.
There is not a lot going on here. However it is beautiful. We went to a Hocking Hills state park called Old Mans Cave and enjoyed a good hike, it was really lovely and a well maintaned state park. I loved how scenic it was and how clean it was.
From there we headed in to the town and visited the Art gallery on Main Street where we took a hour pottery class for fifteen dollars each. It was fun, and I am going to pick up my turtle in two weeks, despite the 140 mile drive one way. My boyfriend wants to hike Cantwell Cliffs, which is in the area.
We had a nice light lunch of Hummus at the spotted Owl Cafe also on Main Street.
The Hocking Hills is a nice small town to visit for hiking and art. I will go back many times I am sure.
