A True Pickup... By Taylor Jeter on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Less than 6 months ago I purchased a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 5.3L V8 Z71 extended cab truck. Since then, I have not been disappointed. The truck has 90K miles on it and has not a single problem yet. This is a great vehicle. I have already used it for multiple activities, including towing, hauling, off-roading, mudding, and even racing. It has performed flawlessly everywhere. The radio features TheftLock, which is locks the radio whenever it is removed from the vehicle. I love the message center screen, which is located in the guage cluster. It displays messages about everything from change oil to service 4WD. My only negative thought about it is the limited seating room in the rear. Other than that I am greatly impressed with it. So far, I have gotten 15mpg at the most, which is very good for a truck made in that year. All of the controls are extremely easy to operate, and the vehicle ride is very smooth. Chevy rates it at 285 stock horsepower, and Car and Driver awarded the 2002 Silverado with the best truck award. If you're looking for a reliable truck, then a Silverado is your best bet.
