The Foundry Art Center in St. Charles, MO is a great place to view art in a working environment. This building has been converted from a Foundry to an art gallery and studio for working artists.The lower level of the Art Center houses a gallery featuring local artists or special exhibits. The lower level also houses a children's art room, a small area with gifts for sale and a large open area available for rental. The rental area is perfect for wedding receptions, banquets and similar functions. The events I have attended at the Foundry were elegant and enjoyable.
The second floor of the Foundry features the studios of local artists. The studios have full glass windows that allow visitors to watch the artists at work. Most artists have samples of completed projects in the windows for visitors to view and purchase.
The Foundry Art Center is not designed for young children but older children and adults will enjoy both the gallery and watching artists at work.
