While obviously I'm no children's story writer thats not a real verse from the book but just the form which the book is written. Edward Lear did a great job in writing this book. I think kids will love this book. They will like the way the verses sound as they or someone else reads the book.I think children will enjoy the brightly colored illustrations by Suse Mac Donald.A Was Once An Apple Pie is one of my favorite alphabet books.
