A Was Once An Apple Pie by Edward Lear and illustrated by Suse Mac Donald. A Was Once An Apple Pie is a great book that is designed to help kids learn the alphabet while learning a fun story. This story is done in rhyme. For example, one of the verses might look like this
S was once a little sun
Sunny funny bunny sunny
Brighty flighty little sun
While obviously I'm no children's story writer thats not a real verse from the book but just the form which the book is written. Edward Lear did a great job in writing this book. I think kids will love this book. They will like the way the verses sound as they or someone else reads the book. I think children will enjoy the brightly colored illustrations by Suse Mac Donald. A Was Once An Apple Pie is one of my favorite alphabet books.
A Was Once An Apple Pie is aimed at children ages 4 to 7 .
