Lone Survivor: "The Eye Witness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of Seal Team 10" is a spectacular read. Not only does Lutttrell tell you about the mission, he gives his account of what this war is about. Reading this book will give you insight on what it takes to become a Navy SEAL. You will also learn things you may not know about Afghanistan: the people and their differences.

I did not want to put this book down. The descriptive nature of it really put many things in perspective for me. From beginning to end, I found myself learning things I never understood before. For instance, I always lumped Al Qaeda and Taliban together. Now I know the difference between them.

I am not going get into detail because Lone Survivor is a must read. If you finger through it at the bookstore or library, you will see what I mean. I heard there will be a movie made. We all know how movies from books can be either fantastic or miserable. We shall see on this one.

If you have not read this book yet, I suggest you do. It is well written, intense, and has all the qualities a bestseller should have.
