Abaca forever

When hubby had a business trip in the Bicol region last February (2009) I asked him to look for the Abaca slippers for the family. One of his technicians gave him two pairs of adult abaca slippers 2 years ago, one for him and one for me. I like it very much but the old one is broken already so I asked him to personally buy it for us.There are many products made in abaca which are indigenous in the Bicol region. Abaca is a great material that you can make it a string, bag, sandals, swing and many more. What I like with abaca slippers is that it easily absorbs water from the feet especially after shower. I do not have to towel dry my feet and having smelly feet are avoidable using these slippers. Abaca is durable and comfortable to wear. My kids practically use it at home so that there feet will not get dirty, tough and smelly. I thought I will have a hard time pushing them to use it but I was wrong. They like it and feel much comfortable with it as compared to their other home slippers and much cheaper in price.

Since the whole family like it I guess hubby needs to buy several pairs as spare if ever.
