Abreva Cold Sorefever Blister Treatment By kimkarli on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Abreva is awesome!! That is the onword to describe it. If you have ever had a fever blister or cold sore, then you know how irritating and painful that they can be. You may have seen commercials for Aberva, that it is the only FDA approved treatment to shorten the healing time for cold sores/fever blisters. IT WORKS. I have tried other things like medicated Blistex and, although it helps the pain, that is all it did. Abreva actually makes it go away much faster! It comes in a tiny little 2 gram tube, but it does not take much. The active ingredient is Docosanol 10% cream. It not only shortens healing time, but controls the pain as well. It is pretty expensive, 15 bucks for a tiny tube, but it is well worth it! If you ever get cold sores you should have some Abreva on hand at all times. It is easy to find at any pharmacy or Wal-Mart. I highly recommend this product.
