Ab Seas A B Seas Review By donnabc on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
ABSeas is actually one of my favorite learning games that I have found and used (and believe me I have tons of them). It comes with 4 fishing rods which are actually plastic sticks with yarn on the end and a magnet attached to it. The letters are written on the backs of sea creatures (including crabs, fish, octopuses). They are SOOOO cute and colorful. Players each get a card with letters on it (one side is upper case and the other is lower case). They take turns fishing in the box for a letter, and try to find one that matches THEIR letters (we "threw them back" if they didn't match our letter). And the first person to match all their letters "wins." My son just LOVED catching the fish and calling out the letter that was on it. Later, when he was learning the difference between lower and upper case and needed to we flipped the card over and he had to match the upper case letters on the fish with the lower case on the card. We played this game just about every night. It was his favorite. I highly recommend this game for kids just learning their alphabet. It's so fun they will beg to play it and learn!

I am sorry they did not have this game around when my daugher was young. this sounds like a lot of fun and easy way to learn.

I've never seen this. Will have to look for it because it sound like a great primer. Thanks!
Sounds like a fun learning game! Cute too!
It sounds like this might be a way to entice kids who are more interested in activities than learning letters to do both!
