Acer Aspire 5610: It Gets It Done. By Ikrizzle on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I purchased the Acer Aspire 5610 for college several months ago, and it has proven to be a reliable, robust system. It has enough RAM (1gb), processor power (dual core 1.8ghz), and visuals (1280x800 resolution, 256mb video memory) to run most any task a common user will throw at it. Though the model I purchased claimed a 120gb hard drive, it in fact had two 60gbs, each of which only held about 53gb. Regardless, 106gb should be enough for most users, and there's always external drives for media. In terms of reliability, I have not had my Aspire crash once on me, which I value greatly. Though no one can argue that there are better laptops on the market for hardware-intensive apps like gaming and video editting, the Aspire 5610 packs a lot of bang for the buck, runs Vista Home Premium (the factory OS) without a hiccup, and looks great. I reccomend it to anyone looking for a laptop that won't crash, and will still be up to date for several years.
