This computer with it's 14" screen has served every purpose possible in my everday and schooling needs. I was new to laptops when I went to get this computer my freshman year in College. I knew nothing about them just knew I needed one. I walked into Best Buy where I walked up to the cheapest computer they had which was an hp and about $100 less than this one, I asked the guy to tell me about it and he said not good. When he asked what I was looking for I told him simply something cheap that was worth the money and do what I needed it to do for school. He pointed to this acer and told me that it was better quality than the hp and that it would do more than I needed it to for my schooling. I was convinced I told him to pack it up I'd take it and had him show me where I could buy a flash drive. They rand me up and I wrote the biggest check I've every written in my life that day, I cried but it was well worth the tears.

Good that you got some honest advice and came away with a computer that met your basic needs for school and gave you a chance to get used to the world of computers so that you would be able to decide what extra features you might want for the next one.
My first PC was an Acer. I was a Mac girl previously. I spent $2700 on it and it served its purpose. It has a 512 mb hard drive and even less ram. My teen still uses it, poor girl. It's an oldie but a goody.
Can't go to college without a computer or laptop, glad you found one that works for you! One of my daughters has an Acer, also bought at Best Buy!
