I just got my first laptop - the Acer 3680. I am use to the large desktops, and was leary on using Microsoft Vista. However, I must say, i am pleasantly surprised with the performance of this laptop! It is not too heavy, and the screen size is perfect for me. It has a 14.1" Crystal Bright LCD screen, which makes it very easy to see the colors and details. This model also has an 80GB HDD, and 512 MB DDR2, which i had heard that a 512 was too small to run Vista effectively, but I have had no problems whatsoever. My computer runs fast and smooth. I do alot of photo editing and run a photoshop elements program on it and it runs great! It also has a DVD burner which comes in handy to burn my photos on. The only real negitive that i can find for this product, is the lack of long battery life. When fully charged, my laptop only will last just over an hour. I was hoping for a longer battery life, but most of the time i am close to an electric outlet, so it's not a big deal for me personally. I think for anyone getting their feet wet in the world of laptops, or for a teen, this is a perfect starter laptop, and you will not be dissapointed.
