Acts Of Violets By Kate Collins By Karen By Karen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Acts of Violets is number five in the Flower Shop Mysteries written by Kate Collins. This book was fun to read, even though the topic was of a serious nature.

Abby Knight, who owns and runs a flower shop called Bloomers, must come to the aid of her hunky boyfriend, Marco, when he is the prime suspect in a murder. All the evidence is circumstantial, but it really doesn't look good for Marco, and Abby must work hard and use her detective skills to try and clear his name.

Acts of Violets was interesting, with a lot of strange characters. I find Abby to be a very likable heroine who puts herself at risk to save her boyfriend from going to jail for a crime she believes he didn't commit, even though the evidence indicates otherwise. And Bloomers, her flower shop, sounds like such a lovely place to work. The book is fast-paced and keeps you guessing (or at least it did me).

I look forward to reading more from this series. I've enjoyed all of the Flower Shop Mysteries that I've read so far, with this book being no exception.
