Adjust Jam

Two points! The Little Tykes Adjust and Jam Basketball Set will get your child on his or her way to mastering the game of basketball. Not to mention, it's great exercise. This product is for 3+ years old. It has a black base which can be filled with water or sand to keep it from falling down. We have ours in the house now with no sand or water but plan to add sand. The backboard is white with a basketball decal which you have to peel and place on the board. The rim is yellow with a white net. The entire item is plastic. It is made in the USA. A small basketball is included in the box. The set is adjustable to 4' or 5' or 6' which grows as your child grows.

I liked the fact that it adjusts. I looked at another basketball set which did not adjust at all. It was 24.00 and looked nice but wouldn't last long due to height. The bigger set was 48.00. I chose it.

I do have a complaint about this Little Tykes item. The rim is poorly made. There are small eyelets made of plastic with hooks all around the rim. One eyelet was missing completely. Another eyelet was barely there. You have to thread the loop of the net through each eyelet and hook it then pull to secure the net. Well, it's pretty difficult to secure the net with two eyelets that aren't even there! I even found that the other eyelets and hooks weren't any better to secure the net. So instead of taking it apart and hauling it back to the store. It was a gift and no time... plus anymore... that's the quality we get. I decided to reinforce the inside rim ( each hook) with pieces of duct tape. It worked! You can't even see it unless you look down into the net.

So remember: Open the box at the store and check the rim. I'm sure you will still have to reinforce it though. Little Tykes, you need to work on the rim. The eyelets and hooks are faulty. I would have rated the item a 5 star but not for this flaw. My kids love it and a great item. I may just call Little Tykes and see if they willreplace the rim free of charge. It is a factory error!
