Advair - 10050 strength review
By donnabc onMy son has had asthma since he was born basically. His asthma was classified as moderate to severe, which is pretty scary if you think about it.It could flair up literally in a matter of seconds.Once when he was 2 I took him to the doctor for the flu and his breathing was fine.About 14 hours later I was on the door step of the office in tears because I had given him 2 back to back breathing treatments and he was still coughing and having trouble breathing.Come to find out his right lower lung had COLAPSED because of the goop in it.The air had been forced out but the mucus plugs wouldn't let it back in!He was in the hospital for 7 days on IV, oxygen, heart monitors, chest PT and treatments every 4 hours...the whole nine yards. He was on Flovent and Xopenex for his flairs until about 3 years ago.He turned 5 and his Dr recommended we try Advair. We did and it has been like a different world for us!His asthma is much better controled now.For us Advair was an answer to our prayers. The only draw back is that it comes in a disk and once you cock the lever, the disk has to remain level and the person has to inhail sharply.I don't let my 8 year old do it by himself because he can't hold it level which affects the amount of medicine inhailed.

My Mother uses this as well and it has been great for her too.
Seems odd that a person in distress and needing to use the medicine ASAP would need to think about having to hold the dispenser just right. Must be really hard for kids. Thanks for the info.
