Advil- Great pain relief in a convenient form
By balentine2 onI have had Rheumatoid Arthritis for over 20 years. In that time I have tried just about every pain reliever on the market. Some are good, some not so good. I have to say Advil is one of the best.
Last year my doctor switched my prescription medicine because it had stopped working and I was having stomach issues. Since I could not take aspirin anymore because of my stomach I need something else to go along with my RA medicine. I decided to try Advil.
I bought the Advil Liqui-Gels because they are supposed to work faster than tablets and they do. I can take 2 gels and in 10-15 minutes I notice them working. They also control my pain for 10-12 hrs so I only take them twice a day.
I know ibuprofen can bother some peoples stomachs but I have not had any problems since I've been taking them. They are not really expensive and I by them in large bottles so that saves me even more.
My sons are almost 14 and one of them has trouble swallowing pills and the liquids just don't seem to work for him anymore. He is able to swallow a gel with no problem and 1 gel will last him all day for fever or the occasional aches and pains.
So if you need a pain reliever and you haven't tried them give Advil Liqui-Gels a try.
I have SLE/Ra and can attest that nothing but nothing works better than Avil for really ugly inflammation. The liquid gels seem to disperse the medication much faster than the dry capsules do.

I am pretty sure that Advil liqui-gels is also the choice of Big Papi. ;) I did not realize that these were ibuprofen. Please, so make sure that you eat something every time you make ibuprofen, even if it doesn't seem to bother your stomach as there could be long term damage with continued use.
I had no idea that liquid gels work faster than dry tablets-that is good to know! I'm glad that your sons don't have problems swallowing these & that this is good for your rheumatoid arthritis!
Will have to get the liqui-gels since they work faster. Advil does great with my headaches as well.
If you are not already doing it check into off brand Ibuprofen instead of buying the name brand Advil. I buy the off brand of advil/ibuprofen and its a lot cheaper. Advil bothers me if I take it on an empty stomach but otherwise taken after eating it helps me.
