Aerosoles Knee Boot Override By Faeryfae on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have gotten boots from Aerosoles in the past, but these are the first pair that I have a love/hate relationship with. They are comfortable, the leather upper is fairly fine quality and the stitching is pretty neat. But the soles are a different story. The description states "-1" stacked heel and flexible rubber sole." The rubber sole does not have enough traction, and the stacked heel, though the height is perfectly fine, is actually mostly hollow and made of plastic. I know that many boots are being made this way these days, but I do so much walking that I have already worn down the heels of these boots so that the plastic shows. I wear them anyway, since I spent so much money on them and they are still comfortable for walking in, just not when it is slippery. If you want to buy a dress boot for this winter, this one is not waterproof, but it is water resistant. I only caution you about the poor quality heel and the way the sole wears down so quickly.
