Affordable Plasma HD TV - Get Toshiba
By jayjay1113 onI purchased this Plasma TV for my husband from Best Buy as a Christmas present. This TV is still amazing and totally worth the price I paid for it!
Installing the TV was fairly easy, thanks in part to the excellent instructions provided in the user manual. We did have a problem connecting the correct component cables, but that was just my husband's mistake! We were able connect a home theatre system, our Satellite box and gaming systems to this TV. There are also 2 ColorStream HD inputs, 2 HDMI Digital inputs.
We love the size of this TV. Our old one was a 27" so watching TV on a 42" with Panel Resolution of 1024 x 768,is a huge difference. This HDTV ready plasma TV can support 720p and even 1080i. The picture quality is amazing on regular and HD channels. We also have a home surround sound theater system connected to this TV that we rarely use because the sound quality of the built-in speakers is top notch. This Christmas we bought a Wii for the kids. Playing the Wii on this TV is awesome - you feel you are truly a part of the game.
One of the features we use daily is the Pic Size which allows you to adjust the picture size in 5 different ways. We tend to use the Theater Wide 1 setting when watching DVDs. We also like the fact that we are able to prolong the life of our plasma screen through the use of the Long Life feature. Colour Temperature Control also helps to prevent burn-in of the image to the screen.
Here is a list of some (there are too many to list!) of the other features for this TV:
TheaterWide Modes (480i/480p/720p/1080i)
WXGA (1024 x 768)
Brightness 1300 (cd/m2)
Contrast Ratio 8000 :1
(2) HDMI Inputs
Picture Modes (Sports/Movie)
20 watt Audio Output
2 way Speaker System
If you are looking for a good-sized Plasma TV with value, look no further.

This sounds like a wonderful television. Thanks for the great information.
This looks like a good value. I like how you can adjust the aspect ratio for different types of viewing.
Well I'd like to have one of these plasma TVs!
