After Bite Pain Itch Cream By IamJosh on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

After Bite is an anti-itch, pain relieving cream that is used after you get an insect bite, bee sting, etc. It relieves pain and itching to the site. I bought this cream at CVS recently when I was bitten by some sort of insect. The bite got huge. It was painful, but itchy at the same time. I applied this cream to my arm and found that it really didn't work very well. The itch and pain went away for about 2-3 minutes, then came right back again. After consulting the Nurse at my job, I found that baking soda and water made into a paste works a lot better than this cream. The cream goes on smooth and has a pleasant smell. It is made primarily of eucalyptus oil. It's a shame it just doesn't work. I would say save your money and make the baking soda paste to ease the itch and pain of minor insect bites.
